Research Theme
Intelligent Agents for Decision Support

Central Concerns and Questions

We investigate architectures, protocols and algorithms for decision support and coordination in multi-agent environments, ranging from supply chain collaboration to dynamic distributed resource allocation to planning in partially observable and uncertain environments.

Emerging Ideas and Initiatives

We are designing intelligent agent systems for diverse problem domains, which includes trading agent competitions, autonomous trading in commodity markets, and decentralised command and control in military and emergency response operations. An emerging idea in this research area is the use of social model shaping to coordinate different types of agents in emergency response operations.
