SIS Research Area -
Information Security & Trust
Overview
As information technology (IT) continues to reach into every corner of our lives, the digital age also raises serious concerns about information security. The most vital sectors of our economy - manufacturing, telecommunication, banking and finance, transportation and emergency service - are potentially susceptible to disruptions by individual and organised hackers and cyber terrorists. There is an imperative need for more research in information security. The Information Security & Trust group in SIS focuses on the designing and analyzing of techniques for data security, network and system security, user privacy protection and trust establishment in cyberspace.
