In this course you will learn how to create your own works of art using freely available computer graphics tools! We will begin by creating and manipulating 2D images and quickly move to creating images and animations using 3D tools.
Students need a computer at
home in order to participate fully. They should know how to install software,
know how to use a text editor, and have access to e-mail and the Internet.

Its much more fun to play with our favorite images than with the bits and pieces we find on the Web. Most of us have to convert our images from paper to digital form before we can work with them. All students who dont have scanners of their own should bring in at least one photograph, drawing, or other image that can be scanned on the first day of class.
