Review for the final exam
(posted on 6 Nov, 2010)
* Modified on 15 November: The review note and
the solutions to the practice final contained some typo, which should be
obvious to most of you. They have been corrected now:
(1)
There is typo for the old Question Q1.9 and its solution,
and the old solution to Q5(b).
(2)
Review note: page 4, the Z-test statistic for the two
population proportion case (old pi1_hat in the denominator should be pi_hat); page 5: the next to last line (sigma2< (or
>) sigma_0^2).
