| 1998, obtained the Bachelor degree in economics from Xi’an Jiaotong University (XJTU) in Xi'an, China. XJTU is a leading university and one of the earliest universities founded in China. It grew out of Nan Yang College, which was founded in Shanghai in 1896. Xi'an city, formerly called Chang An, is the capital of Shaanxi Province and the biggest city in northwest China. With a history of over 3000 years, Xi'an served as China's earliest capital for eleven dynasties, including the Western Zhou, the Qin, the Western Han, the Sui and the Tang dynasties, for a period of 1180 years, longer than any other. It was also the starting point of the renowned Silk Road, the main trade route between China, central Asia and Europe. |
| 2003, June, obtained the Ph.D. in accounting from School of Business and Management, Hong Kong University of Science & Technology (HKUST) at Hong Kong SAR. Since its official opening in October 1991, HKUST has established itself as an intellectual powerhouse, energizing the community's transformation into a knowledge-based society, and securing a place on the academic world map in record-breaking time. The HKUST Business School is committed to carrying out high quality research that pushes the frontiers of business knowledge and contributes to real life practice. Throughout the years, the School and its individual faculty members have consistently been recognized for their intellectual contributions both locally and internationally. |
| 2003, July, working as an Assistant Professor at Singapore Management University (SMU). Officially incorporated on 12 January 2000, SMU holds the unique position of being Singapore's first private university funded by the government. This flexibility facilitates SMU's aim to be a world-class university on par with the best internationally. |
