My primary research interest is in the design of methodologies, engines and
systems that support optimized decision-making in the business world. To date,
I have focused on utilizing math modeling, meta-heuristics and agent reasoning
for large-scale planning and scheduling problems. Shaped by the ideal for
developing theory and methods that are truly applicable in industry, I have
chosen to concentrate on logistics, supply chain management and e-Commerce
problems – bringing together computationally efficient analytic methods,
working tools and systems to address selected industry problems. These range
from operational problems such as real-time reactive vehicle routing and
dynamic scheduling for assemble-to-order in multi-echelon facilities, to
strategic/tactical problems such as defense acquisition and resource planning,
resource consolidation and risk pooling, and joint inventory/transport
planning.
Here's my recent research statement.
